If you’re looking for a vibrant church family, you’ve found it!

Kia ora, welcome to Silverdale Church

We are based in the beautiful and fast-growing Hibiscus Coast, just north of Auckland.  The region is expanding rapidly and as part of this, we in 2024 are relocating our services to the heart of the newest suburb – Milldale!

We are a multi-generational faith community that loves both God and people. We are passionate about the local Church and in addition carry a strong missional heartbeat for our amazing region, Aotearoa, New Zealand and beyond.

As a Church, we alternate our gatherings across two biblically based styles which we call the Temple (all-in) and the Table (homes).  Check out the rationale behind this dynamic – further down below.

In summary, we love doing life together and without sounding audacious, we are quietly confident that you would really enjoy our empowering culture.

On this basis you are very welcome to visit us but, please do check the events page first to see what is happening on a particular Sunday!

We look forward to meeting you soon.

Nga mihi,
Andrew & Rachelle Simkin, Team Leaders.

Our Vision

Restoring Identity & Purpose

Our heart is to see people come fully alive with the revelation that they are loved children of the Father. From this secure position, they live a transformed life, encouraged, and empowered to reach others with this same incredible love.

Our Mission

The mission as to why Silverdale Church exists is quite simply the great commission! Straightforward, profound, and powerful. Jesus calls us all to be on mission. Go, and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19

The Table & the Temple

We believe in the Biblical New Testament principles of teaching, equipping, and activating one another for great Kingdom exploits, such as those revealed in the Book of Acts.

To facilitate this, during the month we intentionally meet in two key formats to give people an authentic opportunity to grow spiritually (and relationally) in this positive faith filled environment.

The significant part of this (and based on Acts 2:46-47) is our 'Table (homes) and Temple (all - in) gathering format which works so well for all ages, even children!

We love corporate worship and what God can do in a large gathering (Temple) and additionally, we so value the incredible connection, intimacy and equipping that occurs within a small group (Table).

This sees us alternate our gatherings between both formats along with regular community service days whereupon we practically do the mahi (work) and serve the Hibiscus Coast i.e., the Church in action!

We invite you to experience this ancient yet present season way of gathering for yourself!
